Growing up in the suburbs of Chicago, Juice WRLD developed an early fascination with music, showcasing a talent for versatility and lyricism that would later define his work. He cited a wide array of influences, from rock bands like Panic! At the Disco and Fall Out Boy to hip-hop legends such as Tupac Shakur and Lil Wayne, reflecting his eclectic taste and willingness to draw from diverse genres. Juice WRLD began releasing music on SoundCloud in high school, under the name JuiceTheKidd, before adopting the stage name Juice WRLD—a nod to his admiration for Tupac and the film "Juice." His breakout came with the viral success of "Lucid Dreams," a track that skillfully sampled Sting's "Shape of My Heart" and explored the pain of heartache with poignant clarity.
